Flexicon’s growth is allowing for expansion in our Maintenance department for an Industrial Custodian. An ideal candidate will have a custodial background, forklift experience, and light mechanical background. Individual must possess excellent communication skills to coordinate custodial tasks with Production & Maintenance departments.

General Areas of Responsibility:

• Support the cleaning and upkeep of our Production department & exterior grounds
• Sweeping, mopping and scrubbing Production floors
• Clean mechanical equipment, machines, racking and other products throughout the Production area using proper procedures in a safe manner
• Collecting & emptying refuse & recyclables out of the Production department into dumpsters outdoors
• General upkeep of Production area, such as stacking or removing loose or broken pallets, crates, etc.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, power washers, forklift, and personnel lift
• Sweeping, wiping, and dusting of hard surfaces including glass and mirrors
• General exterior upkeep relating to loose debris collection, sweeping walks, wiping hard surfaces such as glass
• Following safety procedures and regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Replace and restock consumables as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work alone and with others in a Production environment throughout a normal day
• Ability to communicate effectively with all Flexicon personnel
• Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with moderate supervision
• Ability to operate a forklift and personnel lift
• Able to work at heights up to 25 feet and in confined spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to stand, crouch, kneel or walk for extended periods of time. Crouching, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying will be a regularity
• Must be alert at all times with awareness of surroundings in a fast-paced Production environment
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
• Must be able to display a professional attitude and appearance on a daily basis

Education/Previous Work Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous custodial experience a plus, but not required
